  • BEST COMMENT EVER. KUDOS

    DON LINDEMAN.

ONE OF MY FAVORITES OF THE OLD TIME STUFF.

  • Someone marked this as spam. What were they thinking? This is art. Great movie, great soundtrack. I had a wonderful time restoring this video and adding our band to a true classic that had been banned at one time. It was a lot of work, but worth every second of it, and you did no't have to spend a dime on the cd by the "Underpaid Sidemen". You can always mute the sound if you don't like the soundtrack. It is a silent movie after all.

  • So good to see this again!! I saw this in '74 or '75 at the Rialto on Gilman in Berkeley, and then could never find it again. When video cassettes came out I tried to get it through Kit Carson Films No luck. Where did you find it, and can I get a copy on disk?

  • you can download this through megavideo via surfthechannel

    Mystery of the Leaping Fish

  • The only time I saw this before was at the midnight movies at Ohio University in 1974. It was on the same night as Reefer Madness. That was a crazy evening!

  • reefer madness was another great movie.

You might enjoy another video I did with the band "the official replacement truth" on utube or megavideo also cbc/radio3/bands/sunsetmain

Anyway thanks.and I hope to hear from you again. Don "Max" Lindeman and sunsetmain

  • I saw this on Night Flight in the 1980s. I saw a reference to it today and went searching for it, and was delighted to find I could take my pick of places where it is posted.

    I do love the Internet.

  • @silentsgal

I purchased a "new" DVD from Kino Video- TITLED

The Gaucho -starring Douglas Fairbanks Sr.-

as a "second" feature running on the DVD disc is a good copy of this film-

But there are other "Gaoucho DVD's out there that do not contain the second feature- be careful to get one with the Leaping Fish as a additional feature-
