  • CFL= Crappy Flourecent Lighting

  • CFL: 11 watts

    Incandescent equivalant: 50 watts.

  • "equcalent" = equivalent

  • obviously she doesnt even know what she´s speaking of ... the first mode uses 11 W and creates light with an equivalent wattage of 50W ? Yeeaahh, we gutz uz sum perpetuum mobiles!!111one. She should get more education, S.I. units are _NOT_ arbitrary. Maybe it could be the other way around - the bulb USES 50W and CREATES the equcalent of 11W of light ... which is pretty good, but LED´s are better

  • While those are not the first 3-way CFLs ever made, that double-helix design is quite cool. Yes, it more accurately mimics a 3-way incandescent. The latter has two different-sized filaments which cycle on in this manner: low, high, both, off.
