Bill Thomas Motors built the Cheetah to be Chevrolets answer to the Shelby Cobra. In the early 60s, the indy tracks were being dominated by the Cobra 289 and the Ferrari 250 GTO. With Corvette suspension and full support from Chevrolet, the Cheetah hit the race tracks in 1963.

As an auto dealer or forwarding agent your client depends on you for premium service and exceptional attention to detail. By exporting your cars with WTDC, you can continue to deliver the same level of quality to your customer from your lot to final destination.

Your vehicles are handled with the utmost care and experience. On a daily basis, our vehicle transport team loads and secures vehicles with their custom built solutions. Whether you need one car flown roll-on/roll-off to Switzerland or 3 compact cars in one container to Brazil (yes, we can do that), WTDC is your export specialist.

Let WTDC manage your vehicle exports. From title transfers to vehicle loading, export documentation to shipping, our staff of dedicated professionals manages the entire logistics process.

Boasting a 520 hp Chevy small-block V-8, the Cheetah had incredible lateral acceleration and could run a quarter mile in 10 seconds.

Only 16 to 23 Cheetahs were fully produced, and many of those originals still make appearances in vintage races around the country. BTM, a different company with the full blessing of Bill Thomas, now builds a limited number of Cheetahs each year. These are more than just $100K replicas. Built from the original plans with the finest of Corvette performance parts, these Cheetahs are ready to hit the track again.

  • Nothing Ford Mustang About This Car

  • This defines early automotive lust for me. When I hit the redneck retirement plan there will be a new one of these and an ULTIMA GTR in my immediate future. I think they filled the tanks of these things with testosterone just prior to shipping.

  • early and mid sixties sports cars with small blk V-8s were really something.

    really neat era.

  • I see where the original molds and tooling were destroyed in a fire, however, about 20-25 years ago I responded to an ad where someone claimed to have the original tooling, for the Cheetah, and was wanting to sell it...

The $85,000 asking price was too rich for me, at that time, and I had to pass. Now I'm thinking that it was a "bogus" sale; and it may have just been for a "kit car"...I guess I'll never know! At the time I had a "Kellison" kit car; on a '58 corvette chassis.

  • @MrMogwa so is the z8 .but we love those cars anyway :D

  • Beautiful car, but it had the reputation of being extremely difficult to drive.

  • Ironic song considering that car was GM's answer to the AC Cobra. A car that was literally 1/2 engine, faster than a bad rumor, and meant only to race. To bad the factory burned down after only a scant few were built. I forget the name but there is a company making Cheetah replicas And they are sweet.

  • looks like mixture of AC Cobra and Corvette C2

  • this is just sick, bad! I would let my daughter drive this to the prom.

It would make a great grocery getter.

The cops would follow this car every place you drive.
