@supersteadyteddy not to be mean but spiderman cant really compare much to the other avengers. they are after all "the mightiest heroes". you cant really compare spiderman to thor, hulk, or ironman. theyre on a whole other league

I think he's reflexively putting up a gravity shield at point-blank to blunt the force of the blows. It seems to me that Iron Man, Wasp, and Thor's electrical attacks seem to affect him more. More energy-based than physical perhaps. That's how I'd justify it.

Though if I start trying to justify EVERYTHING in a superhero story like this, I'll tie myself up in pretzel logic. Better to just go with it - turn your brain off, and have fun. ^_^

Notice that Iron Man's beams seem to affect him more? They're more energy than physical attack.

THE BEARD. A lot of bruising along his jaw/face could be hidden by the beard. ^_^ (Yes, yes, I know... the nose, the eyes etc. I'm not entirely serious about this one.)

@jesusitsant Here's how I would justify it -

1) 10 minutes ago, Gravitar would actually have been able to -withstand- that attack. But now, he's been worn down / beaten down / his concentration is blown and he can't put up a shield fast enough.

2) It's a HUGE build up of energy, even for Thor. That takes some time. The other team members constantly attacking gave him the time he needed.

So do I win a "no-prize"? ^_^

@MHJforPrussia That's a terrible excuse. Hawkeye has no powers. He's just good with a bow and arrow. Black doesn't have any powers either. Being an Avengers isn't about what league your on it's about your willingness to be a hero which is why pretty much every superhero in the Marvel universe eventually becomes one. But Spider-man has had his time and shows (he's getting a new one). Which is why I don't think they should put him in yet. But some lesser known characters instead.

@TheKilogram1000 I think that every super in DC and Marvel has one particular ability, or else these fights wouldn't last so long: super-durability. Even the mere mortals (like Iron Man or Batman) seem to have it.

He has a really durable face if it can take a hammer hit from Thor, unibeam from Iron man,  10 wasp blasts, and hulk smash. I mean gravity does not prevent black eyes from appearing, or at least a broken jaw.

How come when the hulk punched him in the face Graviton didn't break his jaw, or even give him a black eye
