All you guys are wrong. V-Tech is the brand name for my cordless phone.
-
Becuase the V in Vtec means Variable.

Close goldfall. The S2000 has two camshafts, yes. But the second camshaft doesn't kick in after 6000rpm. What happens is that there are six cam lobes per cylinder (3 on the intake side, 3 on the exhaust side). Under 6000rpm, the engine is operating on 4 lower-medium lift lobes (2 on the intake side, 2 on the exhaust side). Above 6k rpm, it switches to 2 larger high-life lobes (2 per cylinder) and allows greater intake of air and fuel (& sometime advances timing), hence the stronger engine sound.

Soft top went a long time ago... As did about 300 Kilo of other stuff we did not need. We had to add some of that back on for the full welded in saftey cage and additional gravity fed fuel tank etc. As for the Carbon Top, we are planning to make one for this car and then sell replicas as a reasonable price - so If you want to buy one, then keep in contact.

We've not done too much at this stage of development. Mugen Induction kit and taken off Air Con etc. Later in the year we plan to put on a PI ECU to replace the OE one. We can then have fun with controlling the VTec, Traction control and have dry and wet throttle maps etc.

Actually we spend most of our budget on developing and improving the car - oh yes and the cost of going racing.... All the filming done at Rockingham outside, is done with pro kit and by pros. The stuff shot inside the car is done with reduced quality kit, but considerring one of the caremas came off the mounts - vibration etc. Then I think what we got was ok.

For your information, I named the Team after the house that I live in Ridgeway and we are know in the UK as both Ridgeway Racing and Double R Racing. It is easy to see why we use the red Honda R... If you know Honda you know that the R means racing - part of the DNA of Honda...
Thanks for the feedback. We want to hear what you think. Keep the comments coming.
