THE WEIGHT OF A LION DREAM.mov

. . . as he closes his eyes and the day goes out of focus, the dream comes. He finds himself eye to eye with his lion dream. He and the lion stand in the site of a hurricane. This is how he dreams:

The mighty lion leans on me--so heavy--it is almost unbearable. I summon my deepest strength and push with my mind, body, and soul. My efforts barely keep my tree of survival from bowing in surrender. I hear the roaring storm, ready to crush me with its force. My primal self-preservation instincts spur me to keep fighting. Yet, an urge to let go and be devoured by the lion and the hurricane battles my will. I contemplate the unknown of surrender. I wonder--what would happen if I let the lion win? In the natural world, a man would not stand a chance against a lion or a hurricane. Perhaps, I fight too hard against this dream lion and hurricane of my subconscious. One day, I hope I have the courage to lose.
