Clearly one of our greatest ever humourous character actors. From the disgusting Marxist Rick of The Young Ones to the pompous Tory Alan B'Stard of The New Statesman, the man seaps talent wrapped in a sometimes camp and over the top performance which does nothing but add even more comedy to his roles. A real asset to British comedy.
