Land Rover Santana 109 Especial 6 cylinder diesel engine

Motor de 6 cilindros de 1.978 marcha despues una renovacion.
Six cylinder engine (build in 1978) after overhaul. Santana developed a powerful engine by adding 2 cylinders to the known 4 cylinder engine. It was only produced in Spain for the 109" wheelbase version. The radiatorgrille was placed in line with the front of the wings. Gearbox and axles were designed stronger and the fuel tank got a second part. Santana offered as an option already in 1977 an overdrive and Salisbury axles.
Santana ha desarrollado un motor de 6 cilindros, anadiendo dos cilindros al conocido de 4 cilindros. El motor diesel da 94 Cv (104 en gasolina). La rejilla del radiador se alinea con las aletas, la caja de cambios y ejes estan reforzados. Solo las versiones de 109 pulgadas tienen este motor. Tambien se aumentó la capacidad del depósito de combustible. Como opción tenia super directa y cubos de rueda libre.

But as noted in the information Santanas' engineers made their own vehicle!
