Astronaut Richard Garriott W5KWQ was at the ARRL booth discussing his ham space activities for the 2009 Dayton Hamvention in Dayton Ohio. Dave Larsen KK4WW met with him and had a nice dicussion and some photo ops. I David a director of the Foundation for Amateur International Radio Service (FAIRS) and was with a group of FAIRS members. FAIRS also has had a booth at the Hamvention for many years and it is managed by Gaynell Larsen KK4WW. This year she was assisted by Helen Goncharsky UR5WA and others. Other FAIRS members attending and helping were Esmond Jones 8R1AK, Alex VE3VDX, Victor Goncharsky US5WE, Tom King W4VZH and Micheal Herring KE4RGY. Every one had a great time This video was produced by the LCF Group, ( We are on The Crooked Road Heritage Music Trail and the Round The Mountain Artisan and Craftsman Venue as a great place to visit ) Floyd Professional Center, Village Green, Floyd Virginia. We are in the Appalachian Music community of Floyd Virginia - I am also making a small museum display of some of my computers available to the public in the Village Green. We are on the "Blue Ridge Parkway" & " The Crooked Road - Virginia's Heritage Music Trail" . A lot of good things here - drop in and see us sometime.
