No matter what affiliation, the CCP and the chinese Red Army did have contribute to the anti-Japanese War. The KMT was corrupt so the ordinary people look to the disciplined Red Army to save them and their nation. Mao Zedong was a great man and a great Chinese leader.

Chiang did not possessed the qualities of a great leader, he was a convert of Christianity and lack the leadership skills as Mao.
