@zgopify He was world (at least opera world) famous. Sadly, he passed away several years ago. I was fortunate enough to work with him shortly before his death. A great loss for us all.

Quite wonderful. Such a rare voice, lyrical but with that heroic ring that enabled him to later sing Wagner so effectively.

Although I do prefer a slightly faster rendition of Dalla sua pace, I must admit that this is such a difficult aria to sing slowly. Only a phenomenal tenor can sing it this slow. I am so impressed by the control that he used in this aria to make it take 5 min! Wow!!!!!
