  • If you are angry at yourself this means you are angry for something you did in the past. Buddhism teaches to live in the present, you can be more present by meditating regularly. Also buddhism teaches rightful thinking. Be realistic and rational and you will see that your mistakes in the past arent worth being depressed for the rest of your life

  • He is light. He shines joy & wisdom.

  • He's cool!!

  • People learn to sit in the back as children when they're at church or school, so that they can talk and goof off without getting in trouble. It must carry into the monasteries. ;)

  • I am from Sri Lanka, My favourit monk, I follow his teachings. He is a great humanbeing tobe like this. He is a wisest person, I admire his teachings, its helpful for this birth and next birth. I admire his sense of humour too it makes to release good hormones to the whole body.

  • @satjathamma Buddha doesn't teach that the world is an illusion but that we live in a illusion, believing things to be different than what they truly are. (like believing the earth is flat when it isn't, which would cause many problems. Same thing but with illusions about ourselves...)

Also when people say they live in the past, they don't mean this literally, they just mean they are lost in their thoughts instead of being mindfully present (thinking about the past or not...)

  • verry good:)

  • @mainmanmoose thats not Budhism, Buddha teaches that the world is a illusion, the illusion would also include the past and your anger, there is no past, there is only the precent, it would be impossible not to be in the precent.

  • I'm so glad these videos are here as I'm just getting into Buddhism and I'm trying to learn as much as possible about it. Anyone know of any other similar buddhist youtube channels that would be helpful?

  • Ive been watching this mans videos since the beginning of this year and I find solace in his words. Theres something so soothing in his style and tone, it balances me when im in times of great unbalance. : ) I have nothing but gratitude for these videos.. Thank you!
