An enlightening and absorbing portrait of Ansel Adams, one of the greatest photographers of the 20th Century. Intimate and warm hearted, the film captures Adams' spirit and artistry as he talks about his life and demonstrates the techniques which have made his work legendary.
Was thinking of Ansel Adams today and found this documentary trailer.
Very cool, since i was there for the interview segments inside his home in Carmel.
I remember finishing the days work one day and Mr. Adams said "We finished boys?" (cont.)

We (the DP and myself) were then invited into the kitchen for drinks. I got well oiled as they say. He wanted to show us something which excited him. He went to the darkroom and returned with a wet print and tossed it into the microwave and when the buzzer rang he pulled the print out. He showed us the effect of the blacks being retained with this form of print drying. I think it was the example of the excitement he had about life itself that came through. God bless.

I met him in the 80's and was blessed to share my passion of photography. He was so patient with me. I will never forget him.
