The TRUTH about the PS3's backwards compatibility...

@Obvioustrolloz well i dont know about that cuz i have an 80 gig but my friend has a 40 gig with the downloaded app and he can play ps32 games fine so idk

The 40GB still won't play ps2 games even if you download that app.

okay the 40 gig ps3 doesnt have backwards compatability u have to download it thru the store which might result in this problem but by setting u can see if u want to play the game full screen or not and to activate smoothing for ps2 gaes aswell as ps1. The 80 gig is all ready implemented so all u need to do is turn on the smoothing and ur done try it and see.

Well for one I don't play halo or gears, I don't care much for those types of games.

you probably play halo and gears the only decent exclusives on the 360

while ps3 has uncharted series ratchet and clank god of war resistance little big planet and mgs4

I could but I won't because from what I see for games for the PS3, it doesn't have much that I would care to play, and ones that I would play I have and can get for the 360.

PS3 might implement an monthly or annual fee like XBOX Live. It's just a rumor tho..
