This song was rehashed by Kenny Ball and his jazzmen and released as 'Under Moscow Skies'. It had nothing of the depth and beauty of the original, sung here by Vladimir Slastcheff. I've tried to find recordings by this singer but no success yet.
I saw this film when I was thirteen years old and was never the same again. Brynner the Beautiful, still with us.
this is an awesome song~ hope you put up more such songs - russian gypsy or ones with yul. and if you can, do put the original song and the other song from this movie - charcoah or something like that - when yul sings 'happy b'day' to everyone around the dining table.
Душевно вышло, молодцы..Заметно что в массовке большиство - эмигранты.
