Liz auditioned for me way back. She wasn't right for the part that she auditioned for, but I thought, DAYUM, I HAVE to use her. I wrote this script way back with her in mind. We originally had a different Father Michael, who ended up leaving town, but Andrew was on our crew. Surprisingly he has no acting experience, but he's such a natural. I knew I had to get him in front of the camera. "groveling with a straight back." - that's awesome.
