What an anthem! This is something which has rocked my soul, a rich and beautiful tune performed by a legend of our time. Thank you Michael. Isn't it great to be Scottish.

truly had a culture that was truly celebrated by our media...
The Scots language wouldn't be denegrated - it would be celebrated.
Michael Marra and the Proclaimers - and lots more - sing unashamedly in Scots
and why not? It's our language. Burns fought for our language 250 years ago - God Bless him and all who carry his torch.

Just thought I should point out that Burns only wrote his poems. The songs attributed to him are ancient folk songs which he kindly wrote down. He didn't author them. Just makes it easier for people like me who think burns was a hack to enjoy this video.
