The 1-2 Oklahoma Sooners hosted the Louisville Cardinals in 1997. OU would run all over the Cardinals with two different running backs, sophomore running back De'Mond Parker and fullback Jermaine Fazande both rushing for over 100 yards. All Big 12 (and future NFL Pro Bowler) tight end Stephen Alexander would have a great game receiving as well. Oklahoma would cruise to a 35-14 victory to move to 2-2 on the season.
Man was there some atrocious tackling by Louisville. This game and the Penn State they lost 57-14 pretty much sent them into the 1-10 tailspin they fell into that year. Oklahoma, even as much as they were struggling as a program, just completely outclassed Louisville this game.

I grew up watching the Bourbon/Blake teams; so Im glad to see these are here too. Those teams had some GREAT players like Parker, Gregg, Alexander. Just not enough to win more games.

As a member of the Sooner football team form 1994 - 1998 I am amazed that someone uploaded games during this era. These video brought back some good memories from some ruff years.
