This music makes shrek a lot more than a great movie.

Bravo, great upload. Doesn't cut out halfway through, and it has parts I've not heard during the movie. One thing about the Shrek movies that bugs me is that they've got such fantastic music, but they're always in such a rush to hold kids' interest that they jump too fast. Well guess what - Shrek isn't for kids. How in the heck would you see anything about, say, Shrek 2 unless you've been married and had to deal with the "family" crap afterward?
/Sorry, complaints out.

Shrek is such a good movie, and the music is fantastic

The beginning reminds me of Finding Nemo. x)

why does the 'fairytale' track that you can download from the soundtrack cut off before it's finished?? Why isn't it as long as this one?? And how did you put it back together again?!

It's more better that the intro of the movie!!

@gordonl Yes, it is possible, they do sound very similar. However, I prefer the Shrek Fairytale version. It sounds more polished, if a little too short. Never comfortable with Nocturne, always seemed there was something(s) missing. The melody just doesn't flow right, ever so slightly erratic, annoying. Bit too repetitve, which can make it dull. Shrek ver is epic, orchestral, inspirational, and dynamic, but too damn short.
Another Great Song is CiderHouse Rules (Main Titles) - Rachel Portman

Maybe, I am jsut saying nothing's absolute.
A complete and totally shamefull rip off (of Lloyd Weberian nature) of NOCTURN by SECRET GARDEN - Search for this to hear a much better version of this tune...

@gordonl There's so many melodies in so many songs, isn't it inevitable that every song will have another that sounds similar? Even if it is a rip off of Nocturne, Williams has only succeeded in introducing the music to another generation. Face it, a 6 year old isn't going to listen to Secret Garden.
