Cockatiels are the greatest pet in the world to have. I have a 24 year old Albino cockatiel and she is the love of my life. If something happens to her I would definetely get another cokatiel.

ya, that should be fine. just make sure the pet store you're taking them to has experience with wings/nails trimming for birds. if not, take them to the vet to get trimmed. in my experience, trimming doesn't affect the health of the plumage. the feathers grow back to the original state. and even in the trimmed state, your bird will still be able to show off. only 2-3 feathers are actually trimmed. it's noticeable, but you'll see that there's not a drastic change.
