Two ZR-1s drifting around a road course, seriously awesome exhaust note. I got to ride along with the professional drivers from Ron Fellows racing school so I filmed it. One of the ZR-1's begins pinging LOUDLY and triggers some sort of engine shut down / limp home mode. Murder on a car to drift it non stop for hours with no real cool down or airflow.

  • THE TITLE TO THIS VID IS WRONG!

  • Pinging during decel? that doesn't make sense... Normally, injector duty cycle is 0 when when backing off - at least until it hits idle again. No fuel = no pre ignition... Seems to me like its got more to do with the exhaust than anything else.

Nice car though... Wish we had ZR-1's in Australia.

  • obviously a corvette would have the limp back home mode ^.^ haha
