Dana came out and said hes confident he can get the Machida Silva fight if they are still dominate in years to come, your thoughts?
-
Hey what do you guys think about Anderson silva vs Shogun?? i think that would be an awsome fight!
-
I think an Anderson Silva vs Frank Mir fight would be very marketable..but not compared to a Anderson Silva vs Brock Lesnar fight. Anderson can definately pick apart Lesnar on the stand up, but if Anderson gets taken down...its over

The term P4P was invented by Boxing journalist to give praise to the great "Sugar" Ray Robinson. In the golden age of HW Boxing obviously Sugar Ray Robinson was too small- way too small- to fight as a Heavyweight.
The term P4P is actually "if all the fighters were the same size who woudl the best be".

"Pound for Pound" is a term used to describe a fighters ability compared to other in any weight class. It really does not matter who they fight, how often they fight or if they fight in multiple different divisions. Example : is BJ Penn a better "pound-for-pound" fighter than Brock Lesnar? or, Who is the best P4P fighter in MMA? "Disregarding size or division" is another easy way to interpret pound-for-pound. Who is at the top of the P4P list, and why, is the usual debate.

Rampage testing Anderson? What's that guy thinking? Rampage is a one dimensional striker who is aggressive - anderson would destroy him.
-
bj penn in the criteria given in this vid has got to be considered p4p after all his out of divison fights with gsp, machida, hughes and being the first champ in the ufc in 2 divisons... hes also p4p the biggest ego

Bispings annoying
I enjoyed the extra shot :]
Silva needs to fight Hendo, Marquardt, Okami, Belfort at 185
and Rampage, Evans, and some other guys at 205.
I agree Heavyweight isn't a good move right now.
Good video and topics man

what you do think about what Dana White had to say about Mayweather?
-
i dont see how fighting in other weight classes really make a diff because thats the fighters choice. you can prove how well rounded and great you are in one weight class.i agree you have to take into account the wins and losses, but think about someone like GSP, hes one of the top p4p and he never has went up in weight and if he did, hes risking a lot u know what im saying? i was a lil harsh cuz i think u do know what p4p means. personally i think the whole p4p list is kinda dumb
Here's a good question. What the heck is wrong with your favorite fighter!

judging by your definition anderson silva is the p4p best.

Yeah, I think he is right now. Fedor is a close second, and I would say the top 5 are rounded out by GSP, BJ, and Mousasi.

Its all good, its a term that is debated alot, and is really left up to interpretation. The most important factor is what a fighter has done in their weight class. You can throw the and/or moving up in weight into it as well, which is why BJ is highly regarded, combined with his skillset. Sorry If I explained it kinda off kilter, My apologies if I confused you.
