  • That is one for sure!!! Very cool! They are so shy and don't bother people, they are venomous to hunt their prey. Not to bite people! What state was this in?

  • Pennsylvania, North Central Mountains

  • @torrey10181 timber rattlers in texas?

  • Dang that is a pretty good sized one, we have a lot of them up over here in texas, i have killed probably around 50 or so and i have only seen a couple that were this big, the biggest one i killed was bout 6 ft long.

  • Fella was warming up on the rocks. How cute ^^

  • @HerperTyler19 Hey iv been hearing the word "Herper" a lot and frankly i have no idea what it means (im new to reptiles) You mind telling me what it means?

  • love the music. i saw a timber rattler about this size in red river gorge, ky about 15 years ago. no photo or video can do the colors and markings of these snakes justice. eventhough it coiled and rattled at us and generally scared the shit out of me and my friend, it was awesome!

  • they do strike to, thye will definatly kill you if you are bitten, they are a very unpredictable snake

  • I saw one this big or bigger while bowhunting in Tennessee. My friend who's land it was had told me to be careful cause he'd seen a big rattler back there, but boy, I never dreamed it would be that big.

It was very thick-bodied and stretched completely across a one lane dirt road.

I messed with it for about a half-hour but it never struck once.

    Magnificent creature.

I was told it was probably an old female.
