I have two questions.
1) Do you wait until it's leather hard to "decorate" it?
2) What do you "paint" on the outside to decorate it? Is it just darker slip cause I know it's not glaze.
Thanks so much for posting your videos though, I've watched a bunch of them as art research and I can't wait to throw again.

Very nice but the traditional way to make it I think they roll the clay like snakes. Long and cylinder. Then shape it into udu by putting them on top of each other and working it with a metal or a wooden piece to make it smooth afterwards. But I think working with the wheel takes less time than that. Wish you put the sound of the instrument.

@youdanxxx Would you recommend Stoneware? I'm getting a pottery wheel but I don't want to be using shitty clay on my first try.
