It actually is the SuperFX chip that this game user, I always prefered this use of it over that of star-fox, which over-used it in my opinion... This game actually uses the second version of the Super FX.

Waittt, boos freeze when you look at them... So when you have yoshi's back to them they can move. But also when yoshi's back is to them isn't baby mario looking at the boos? shouldn't they freeze :o?
