im sorry Master Kim but a fighting stance is equally weighted on both legs to allow the fighter to easily kick with either leg, not only front or back. From this video u'v shown moving from a dwit koobi to a fighting stance

@AJGNW In my experience of TKD,theres no point given to kicks that are only able to touch the opponent.i used to fight an opponent like that,he land many blows but not strong .so i won.so,theres no excuse to not stepping to the side.and,i used to do sparing kicking this way and send many tkd exponent flying, especially the skinny ones.and my coach support what i am doing.

@khairuleven Also i think the sport of taekwondo is different from muay thai. I do believe that taekwondo wants to focus on getting points and perform moves cleanly from a perspective about visuals and functionality, rather than to just beat the shit out of your opponent :)

to throw round house kick your supporting leg needs to be not in the same line as target.there is no power otherwise.many taekwondo teacher dont teach this but i know its true.

Yes sir !!!
First off, make sure that you are using proper technique. Incorrect technique can result in joint injuries (and make sure you've been taught properly).
Second, do not kick hard unless you are hitting a heavy bag. I've seen so many TKD practitioners develop knee problems because they practice all of their kicks at full power & speed when all they are hitting is air or a focus pad.
Lastly, make sure you are warming up and stretching properly.

If you are not using your joints in an anatomically correct way, then you will produce joint pain. This happens in a lot of schools where the teachers do not really understand the techniques from a biomechanical perspective, otherwise they would teach their students to not be in pain.
