Twenty-fourth video. This is the background for the "dangerous territory" of the fourth Warlock Zone. After hearing about the nefarious Otafu Army from the ninja cat Koban, you travel to their headquarters and encounter another ninja, Yae.

This area has what is, in my opinion, the funniest boss in any SNES game. It is ... a giant, fat face that bounces around the room inexplicably. As you attack the face (throwing money is preferable to regular attacks), it will fall into pieces on the floor. Upon doing this it will reform ... or try to, anyway. In reforming, the face jumbles random body parts. The cheeks usually wind up where the eyes should be, the mouth gets in the face's hair, the eyebrows reform way too high, and it all makes for some very interesting pictures. As the face dwindles in health, instead of falling to pieces, it will get bigger. Before long, the face becomes so enormous that you don't even have room to stand, and your entire SNES screen becomes enveloped by the face. Though the battle is ludicrous, it is actually somewhat challenging, especially if you aren't yet experienced with the game.

However, this is not the boss music. This is the music for the area that has the aforementioned boss, and it has a few traps of its own. If you're playing a two-player game, be sure to carry your friend on piggyback; otherwise, it is incredibly easy to lose a life. Hope you enjoy the music!

  • Sounds great. I'm going to have to emulate this game... Any game with music like this is worth playing. =P

  • It is also available on the Wii's virtual console, if you're interested. I remember playing this game with my 20-year old cousins on break from college when I was about 5 years old; the farthest we ever got playing together was this level here. (Independently, I eventually beat the game.) It's very fun and pretty challenging as well.

  • It seems like the sound levels on this one are just a bit awkward compared to the original.

But nonetheless, great stuff just like all your others.

  • YES This is Badass. Excuse my language but it is, nonetheless. The Legend of the Mystical Ninja is still the best game ever made for me. I grew up playing the crap outta that game. I still play it, buy I gotta use the Game Genie or I just get mad at it :)

  • I still love this. Do you take requests?

  • hey you should make a mario paint version of the song that plays during the paint game in mystical ninja hehe

  • Can't say I remember the song from the game but it was a really good game and this was done very well. 5/5 and favorited.
