AMP Rider by Ariens, an all-electric riding lawn mower, which delivers as much drive and cutting power as a conventional gas-powered riding mower without the emissions, oil, belts or noise associated with gasoline-powered mowers.

The AMPTM Rider was designed to meet a growing market need for all-electric riding mowers that can match the power, cutting precision and reliability of gas-powered riding mowers offered by Ariens.

Ariens is the first company to offer a riding electric mower in conjunction with a mass channel retail chain and through a wide and proven dealer network across the U.S. AMP Rider sells for an MSRP of $3,299, the lowest priced all-electric riding lawn mower on the market.

  • GE made and sold one in the late 60's and early 70's that from what I can find out was a great product and would mow an acre.

I admire the effort to produce an electric riding mower and I am sure since it is an Ariens it will be a find product.

    I will check it out.

  • Love it dude... nice

  • Just like any other batteries, I'd be concerned about their life expectancy and replacement costs. Chances are, these are also smaller than car batteries.

Once someone finally makes a long lasting durable battery, all of these will be worth the cost.......if it doesn't get stolen. GPS wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Not too long ago, there were advertisements for a more efficient electric motor.

The electric non riding motors are said to have short lived batteries and not worth the cost

  • I don't know about a motor and two batteries powering it, but it sure is Ariens and they make great products. Also, I like that they went back to the rear engine style look.
