There are no profits for the dog in docking or cropping, it's a painful, silly and unnecessary mutilation just for the sake of vanity. My Pinscher never had an ear infection and she is 11 years now and is NOT cropped or docked. Get yourself a dog with natural upright, sharp ears if you prefer that look but please don't let a puppy endure that crap!
min pins were breed from dashounds, italian grayhounds, and the base breed was a german pischer. Dobermans are actually closer to the min pin than the german pinscher genaticaly, which is the only breed shared between them.
I believe the Min Pins were from the Italian greyhound as well as the Dachsunds way before Dobermans were in existance. Dobermans are a mix of a few other breeds and have only been around a bit over 100 yrs or so...I think there is a video on Youtube
you can watch called Dobermans 101 that explains that.
okay I'm confused (& just to understand better); I have always been told that min pin's are in no way associated with the doberman pinscher. Course bred at two completely different times. That they were bred from dachshund & italian greyhound. Which is correct?
