@Kilroytheknifesnob Wow, I can't believe ur comment. For those that don't know I stated many times its for worst case scenarios. So while they are not rare or unusual IF you can't find any u can make them. MOF when the brits fought india, soldiers cut & made their own HPs to stop the drugged up enemy soldiers. So in short ur comment is stupid. IF u can't buy hollow points u can make them even w/ a knife.
BTW DON'T check out his channel because he only made the comment to spam.

How about use the case trimmer to flatten the bullet tip a little first then drilling the hole. Should get more accurate results drilling on a flattened tip then a round one.

@smokestakz continued...all of its energy into the target byway expansion and also give shooter a much higher percent of stopping the target quickly since a properly expanding hp bullet will also create a much larger temporary and permanent wound cavity leading to faster bleed out (a wound cavity is basically how far in width the medium whether it be flesh or ballistic gel widens from the energy dispersed by the cartridge)

@MrFreefonix hollowpoints have two main functions. 1. fmjs are designed to go straight throughwho/whatever you shoot them t so if if you had to take a shot in self defense in lets say a apartment, a fmj would be a neglectful cartridge to use seeing that the round will most likely go through the target and possibly a few walls during its flight, possibly injuring or killing neighbors or other people that you didnt intend to shoot...hollow points expand in the body dispersing all of

do you know how much weight you lose after finishing a bullet?...like i wouldnt want to start with a 124g 9mm and end up with a 90g...

I'll just buy some Winchester PDX1 and call it a day.

How much does this effect the accuracy?

Reminds me of the Gun Runners in Fallout New Vegas.

do you think this will have more stoping power and less killing capacity ? first question is beacause the bullet will weight less, and the second is beacause i fear killing a family member by mistake, this happens all the time at least in Argentina.
what about feed ramp damage from this DIY ammo?

@technopoptart No damage because the copper jacket only makes contact with the sides of the bullet with the barrel's lands & grooves. The hole drilled into the top wont damage anything - works just like a manufactured HP.
