Thanks to all the soldiers that served and died there. It is to bad so many lives were lost to a seemingly useless war. our war in Europe and japan turned out a lot better.Progress was made. But Vietnam ..............

gangstar2341 is right. the USSR wanted complete communist control over anything and everything that they could possibly control. the U.S. wanted to stop communism from expanding, so they helped protect any country that was against communism. seems like you're the one who needs to go study history. and I think I know what I am talking about right now since we were just talking about this in U.S. History class for the past month (We have been talking about both the Cold War AND the Vietnam war).
