@ramrod20042000 Besides, your assumption that all equestrians are filthy rich is amusing. Hate to break it to you, but English riders don't wear their show clothes and braid their horses for every day events like tv tends to portray. I am a working class gal who mucked stalls and groomed for years just to ride. Why don't you take your bleeding heart and focus on more pressing issues of cruelty and abuse. Show horses live better than millions of people on people on this planet.
How is it difficult to believe that a fit person isn't capable of running 6 miles a day? I did track and cross-country for a number of years, and yes, I did do hurdles until I sustained an injury. My lifetime of experience tells me that not all horses are forced to jump against their will. Growing up I had several horses that would jump the moon if you pointed them in the right direction without the aid of tack, spurs, crops, or anything of the sort. It is NATURAL for them.
@Slaughter4543 I seriously doubt you are running 6 miles a day. If you was so much the athlete why don't you get off the horse and join a track team..then jump the hurdles yourself? Horses are being made to do this against their will. Do you really believe a horse want to do this? You are no Athlete, neither are Georgina Bloomberg or Prince Harry and Price William. Just unathletic blue blood rich. Don't end up like Christopher Reeve making a horse jump hurdles, then believing you are a Athlete

@ramrod20042000 Clearly you have never ridden a horse before. I run 6 miles daily without getting muscle pains unless I really exert myself. After not riding for about 2 years, I recently rode my old horse for only an hour, no jumping, just flatwork. The next day my legs were KILLING me. It takes a great deal of athletic ability, muscle control, timing, and balance to ride. Please do not trash a sport (yes, it's a sport) that you know nothing about.
This is silly and i wouldn't even call this a sport. Something the unathletic rich thought up. Riding on the back of horses as they jump over hurdles?

@IntoxicatedCrow You are completly right. You can have all the money in the world, but unless you are devoted/ a good rider, you wont get anywhere.

@Tommylvr100 dude...trainers ask me to ride their horses...everybody rides for other people. That's nothing new. And she is a good rider.
