Christians aren't hated because they believe in God, or Jesus Christ. The victims of christianity, such as gays, jews, or anyone else you think doesn't fit your narrow views of the bible, are fighting back and saying, loud & clear that they will not take your prejudice any longer. Kayla doesn't need your judgemental prayers so pray to yourself for wisdom & understanding that people have the right to be different from you.

The Spanish Inquisition comes to mind. Christians loved their neighbors so much they wanted to convert them through violent force.

I am also reminded of Christians who bomb abortion clinics and kill the doctors. They are following what the bible says and are defending what they call life through violent force.

In fact, you god is a great example of love when he condemns humans to hell for not loving him back. How neighborly. Love means never escaping a pool of flaming sulfur.

Sin is not the word i would have used, since it is a term created for your faith. No one is perfect, but we are not all sinners.

I tried to put a link on here to a website about hereditary alcoholism, but it is not letting me. But aacap . org, facts for families, children of alcoholics has some information. I found many different viewpoints on other websites, so I don't think it is concrete yet, but most of them agree that children of alcoholics are at least a slight bit more likely to pick up the problem. :\

... Even the most "good" person you or I can think of has done something at some time in their lives that was wrong, and is probably hiding stuff even now. People who pretend to be sinless are liars or usually end up cracking from the stress of trying to be perfect all the time.  People can be with the same gender, and millions of people have done it. It is not a good or natural thing, though.

I am young and I don't have a college degree in either of those things... I was mostly appealing to logic and observation (not counting the Bible). Nobody is perfect, and not in the way that we are unique, which is a good thing, but in the way that we are all sinners. We all do bad things and stupid things (myself included, of course! My "hereditary alchoholism" example for one: I was speaking off the top of my head, and thanks to your query I have found that I was not completely correct).

Paul also approved slavery. Do you now follow Paul? If so, then you are not a Christian since Jesus said to follow him and not others. (Side note, Jesus approved slavery too.)

So if god made a male and female, he is automatically against gay people? If god didn't make them old, is he against old people? What race were they? Is god against other races? Homophobic and racist. Your god sounds like my Grandfather.
