In space, you need to expend energy (=fuel) both to speed up and then to slow down once you've arrived at your destination, because there is no friction to slow you down. So, the faster you travel, the more fuel you need to stop and go to orbit around your target planet.
One way around this is to plunge into the target planet's atmosphere and let the friction slow you down. That way you don't need to burn any fuel at all (but you need a VERY good heatshield :-D ).

These are so damn cool!
thanks!

@chrismart2008 Jupiter doesn't have land - it's more or less a ball of hyodrogen compounds, with a small rocky core. (That's why it it so much bigger than Earth but only has about 2.3 times the gravity.)

@chrismart2008 Jupiter doesn't have surface (land). Jupiter is gas giant with massive core that is in luquid state because of enormouse pressure at Jupiter's core. The reason any probe sent there would be crushed is Jupiter's immense gravity and pressure of its atmosphere. Further you go into it, the pressure builds up and eventually becomes so strong that it liquifies its metalic core.
Nice video!!!
