My collection of "Stadium Climbing" videos are designed to chart my personal progress. It was only a little over a month ago that I first reached the top of the stadium pillar, and it took me a total of 37 seconds to do it. I can now climb it in 13 seconds! This is progress that I and everyone can easily see. I hope you'll continue to watch and enjoy my videos.
I've always considered myself to be moderately strong, fit and healthy. I've been into weight-lifting for years; I've competed in many long-distance races, including one marathon at the young age of 16; and I've obtained the rank of Black Belt in Korean martial arts. However, it wasn't until November of 2007--the month I was introduced to the competitors of Japan's famous Sasuke "Ninja Warrior" Competition--that I realized what it really meant to be strong. Powerful men and heros such as Makoto Nagano, Mr. Ninja Warrior, and Shunsuke Nagasaki acted as the catalyst to spark my desire to compete in Ninja Warrior, and so I immediately began my training.
As I mention in the video, my goal is to compete in the SPRING, 2009 Ninja Warrior Competition (in March of 2009), and I've trained hard for it. Of course, I'll continue my training, always progressing in strength, speed, agility, endurance, and flexibility, and I'll do my best to create small videos such as this one to chart my progression.
By the time I submit my G4 American Ninja Warrior Challenge Video (right around December, 2008 / January, 2009), I hope you'll all watch and vote for me. With your votes and with your support, I'll have the opportunity to travel to Japan and represent the American People in Sasuke's 22nd Season. However, I have no intention of simply going and competing and having a good time. I'm going to win! I'm going to become the first true American Ninja Warrior, by conquering all four stages and ascending to the summit of Mount Midoriyama!
Please continue to watch my videos. As time goes on, the videos will become more and more impressive. I promise you that.
Thanks for watching and for your support. If you leave a comment, please leave one of support and encouragement. Nobody likes receiving comments intended to ridicule and tear down one's dreams.
I was wondering could you give me any advice/tips that could help me for climbing?
Please and thank you.

Sure, Scott. I'd be happy to give you some advice for climbing. First of all, the two most important muscle groups for lifting your own body weight are your biceps and your lats (the muscles along the sides of your back). So, be sure to work on strengthening those muscle groups. I find one of the best ways to do that is through pull-ups. Get comfortable lifting your own body weight first, then buy yourself a chain weight belt and start adding some poundage. Soon enough, climbing is easy.

Very impressive stuff. In addition to ANC, you could always consider applying through other channels. You can send videos directly to Monster9/TBS in Japan, and they'll set you up if they like what they see.

That's actually a very good idea. I've never thought about submitting my videos directly to Japan. Thanks. That's very, very good advice.

why does your back foot keep dragging? you are losing a lot of power when you do that.

Trust me. I'm not trying to drag my feet. It's that my shoes are constantly slipping on the vertical surface.
