i hate the cast that have been chosen for the tv series vampire diaries....im such a big fan of the book and i was very dissapointed to find out that they totally ruined it.i mean it is just all wrong ...how can they choose a brunette to play elena when there is such a big emphasis that she is blonde and blue eyed.how can bonnie not be a red head ?!!!and i dont like the actor that they have chosen to play stefan...it is nothing like i pictured in my head...so heres my dream cast

i actually like the elena in the tv show better.. i think that the blonde hair blue eyed is too cliche, idk thats just me

Well, the cast in the book also wasn't very ethnically diverse. I'm glad they cast a black girl as Bonnie. She's gorgeous!
Ian S. is perfect as Damon, and Paul Weslet is a great Stefan as well. I prefer the Elena in the show than to the books, I prefer the tv series actually!

It's far more important to have strong actors and likeable characters than it is to stick exactly to the book.
Òbviously they couldn`t find a blond blue¸eyed Elena, so wouldn't you rather have a nice, brunette, brown eyed, extremely good actor than a blond blue eyed girl who looks the part, but isn't likeable and a shitty actress?

@nevermorenemesis91 and why do they have to strictly follow the book? everyone i know who watches vampire diaries havent read the book and don't plan on it, so i don't see the need in completely sticking to the book.

@kollinn none taken lol i actually made this before the first season came out!!now i have really gotten used to the characters ..still dont like stefan though :-b
