The violence of PT. AA (SINAR MAS) to the farmer in Suluk Bongkal, Kabupaten Bengkalis, Riau

The violence act and human right abuse was done PT. ARARA ABADI (SINAR MAS GROUP) against the farmer in Suluk Bongkal, Kabupaten Bengkalis, Riau. This violence and human right absue was occurs on the date 18 up to 24 December 2008. The violence and human right abuse was done by PT. ARARA ABADI with utilising hundreds of officers armed police and Satpol PP to dispel and burn housings of a thousands the poor economy and the knowledge of Suluk Bongkal village. Their housing burned with throwing fire materials from helicopter which was flying in the sky on the top of Suluk Bongkal village. 3 people died, many people injured, hundreds people escape to the jungle, and almost hundred people arrested and jailed. PT. ARARA ABADI claim area that inhabited by farmers at Suluk Bongkal village as part of HPH (Hak Pengusahaan Hutan-Business Rights of Forest which was given permission by Forestry Ministry of the Indonesian government at the New Order era (KEPUTUSAN MENTERI KEHUTANAN NOMOR: 743/KPTS-II/1996 that signed by former Forestry Ministry Jamaludin Suryohadikusumo) belong to PT. Arara Abadi. While the data/evidence that the region is part HPH never published and socialized to all the village people. Therefore, until now the public does not know the location and definitive boundaries of HPH belong to PT. Arara Abadi. PT. ARARA ABADI apparently does not recognize the existence of the village, zone village, the sovereignty community village, and village community living wherever in their HPH regions exist. Plantations and agricultural lands belonging to legitimate community often seized, occupied with utilizing the officers armed police. The grave of the ancestor of the local community in several villages in Riau even been damaged by their bulldozer.
