Fedex MD10 Starboard wing turbo fan engine. For those who don't know, the fuel burning jet engine is the smaller housing inside the big fan housing. The big spinning blades you see from the front is just a fan. See our website firehouse16.com

  • nice if that thing starts it would be the last thing u will ever see

  • The pilot would not start the engine with personnel near the engine intake or exhaust. Even if he/she did, it makes noise starting up that will give someone plenty of time to move out of the way.

  • you can do better

  • How?

  • wow the cone on the back of that engine is so long!

  • jeez i bet when u filmed this u had no idea about the 747-8i hay :D

  • most of what we saw was the compressor, turbine and nacelle...

  • u can stand in front of an engine as long as is not passed 25% of the throttle after 25% you are toast

  • Sod being close to them!

  • That's an old engine. These narrow-chord blades spin at the same speed as the engine. Newer CF6s have wide-chord blades and they don't spin nearly as fast- about 3000-4500 rpm at the most.

  • nice..........wish i could be there

yo is that FED EX express....

  • Plz post a video of the middle engine

  • yah I don't see how, thanks for the vid
