Whoa, I didn't hear that before. Huh. It is amazing some of the things designed into the pyramids. If I'm correct it is Toltec pyramid, they tricked the Mayans into thinking they were gods. At equinox? time, the sun would move down the pyramid, because of its orientation, and made it look like a serpent was moving down the steps. The serpent head was at the bottom of the stairs. Something like that. There may have been an eclipse predicted, Toltecs claimed to darken the sun, etc. "magic"...

This was referenced in my physics textbook, so I had to hear it. Pretty cool.

When I went, they said it returns the bird sound exactly replicating the bird that they represent for royalty. How they all came up for the universal acceptance of the sound and how they altered the building to echo the exact sound is the mystery. There were no tape recorders back then.
