Saturday - Ford Fiesta takes us from Mid-City to Compton

Create Now is honored to have been one of 8 organizations in Southern California selected by Ford Motors to participate in "The People's Fleet" campaign. We were loaned a Ford Fiesta car and two Flip cameras for one week to show how their vehicle helped us with our programs. On our sixth day, Saturday. October 16, 2010, we used the Ford to help bring food, posters and much more to our Celebrate Now!" mentor appreciation luncheon and fund-raising event at the Beverly Connection with host Debra Wilson of "MAD-TV" and Tami Erin of "Pippi Longstocking." A group of teen moms and their babies from "A New Beginning" group home in Riverside came and they had a blast. The Fiesta enabled us to bring lots of boxes to our office for our upcoming move. Then I transported Demond and Virigina Nelson to Down 4 You Entertainment's recording studio in mid-city for their mentoring session, and back home to Compton in South LA. The Fiesta rocks!
