These were very good :)

1 c. flour
1/3 c. butter or margarine, softened
1/3 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. chopped macadamia nuts
1 egg, beaten
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. milk
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Combine flour, butter and brown sugar in small mixer bowl; mix on low speed until mixture is mealy. Stir in nuts; set aside 1 cup for topping. Press the remainder into an ungreased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until light brown. Combine remaining ingredients in a small mixer bowl; beat well on medium speed; pour over baked crust and spread evenly. Sprinkle with reserved flour mixture. Bake for additional 25-30 minutes. Cool; cut into bars.

  • Oh thanks for posting I have been wanting something different and I think this is going to be IT!...

  • Yummy!! Looked to me like that crust was *way* too dry going in the pan, but when I saw the filling I knew why. I could probably eat a whole pan of these.
