A discussion about the need for the rising block (and all other blocks) to stay within the "guard". From the Academy of Traditional Fighting Arts (see http://www.traditionalfightingarts.com/ and http://dandjurdjevic.blogspot.com/).

  • At 0:52 I just started laughing because it was so beautiful to watch. I must have rewatched that exchange a dozen times, just for the pleasure of it. Your form, balance, preparedness and situational reflexes are all stunning to watch, not to mention the speed of your movements (which the camera couldn't keep up with). One of my favourite "realistic" videos.

  • @Xinsama Thank you Xin!

  • Simply put... That was beautiful!

  • @theuppro Thanks for those kind words!

  • Ever practical Karate! Good distance and speed in my opinion. I can see this working as a opposed to all the other nonsense on youtube.

  • @HoParoikos Thanks for your feedback!
