Nowhere near as good as the original with Robert Mitchum, but you've just gotta love Deniro in whatever he does too.

De Niro is a great villian in this 90´s version of "Cape Fear" . One of my favorite movies with De Niro

Very good film. Impressive de Niro, but a little over the top in some scenes. Great Juliette Lewis as the unsure, half-lured pubescent especially in the school-theater scene. My favourite is Nolte, who acts out the more detailed part of the easy-going snob slowly working his way down to the fear-driven maniac standing in front of the entrance door with a rifle in a very convincing way.
