I hadn't heard the song before, but you did a fine job putting imagery to Jordon's fine piece of poetic Biblical history so impacting our world today.

I weep with you for all of the innocent who suffer on both sides, because a portion appoint themselves the avengers of their lost innocents by slaying the innocents of the other.

My only differing with Page is in the chorus line that implies that this just some sort of sibling rivalry, because when that Love is truly sought, it is always found.

Abraham's failure came when Sarah didn't believe God, and insisted he take her handmaid, Hagar, to have the child of promise. But God clearly stated the child of promise would come thru' Sarah, not Hagar. Ishmael still received promises from God, in His mercy, but Isaac was the promised seed. Galatians clearly tells us what this means. I'm unclear why Jordan chooses lyrics which say Abraham failed in choosing Isaac; God told him to. Abraham oopsed when he listened to Sarah. Otherwise, good song.

There is just one twist, satan's children are here as well, and they were the pharisees that conspired to murder Christ, KNOWING who He was and they now have the true tribes of Israel (the Christian nations of Europe, U.S. and Canada) pitted against their brother Ismael, while the usurping liars have stolen land in Israel as their own. Rev 2:9 and 3:9.... It's not Jacob murdering the palestineans, it's those spoken of by Christ in John 8... Great song though.

@sandmaster131 I believe the Bible is the Word of God and is an accurate historical account. For that matter, the Jews claim this as their history and, with a twist, so do those who descend from Ishmael. I also would say I'm not far off in saying Jordan (the writer of this song) also believes the Bible is God's word, and believes what it says. As far as getting with the time I'm in, Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And I'll just rest in Him :o)

@promiskept The fighting is always fiercest between brothers. Why? In order to be able to hate something, there must first be something that you are passionate about, or a tie to a deep place. Hatred is not indifference, it is a mutation of another passionate emotion we do a lot of crazy things for: love. And how often do we hate people not for true differences, but for things that they remind us about in ourselves that we'd prefer not to admit or look at. I liked the 'brother' simplification!
