    Some times I think that the efforts spent to address odd unlikely scenarios is a big waste of valuable research funding, both private and public. The burden that such odd situations put on the industry to attempt to mitigate injuries inflates the cost of cars unnecessarily in some cases. Deal with the profound situations. Like making cars more efficient.

    I can really see this happening if you lose control of your car and spin out...I doubt you'd ever hit a pole like this test shows...not very likely.
