I love how easily old wives' tales and urban legends affect judgment and paranoia. It's widely advised to check treats for tampering, as stated in this video. But despite popular belief, there was never one single police report filed concerning Halloween candy that's been poisoned or otherwise tampered with in a harmful fashion.
