Filmed in 1957 and starring Wendy ╫iller, Nigel Patrick and Charles Coburn, this hilarious little "murder mystery spoof" never received a home video release in any format that I could find. It was originally filmed in Cinemascope, but was presented on tv in pan and scan when I taped it. Such a shame! I believe it to be in the public domain now, but hopefully one day it will receive the high def, widescreen release that it deserves. Look for Michael Cain in his first speaking role.

Oh what joy to discover this here. Wonderful old familiar faces, some early in their film careers and of course the divine Wendy Hiller. I could just watch her forever in anything. Thank you, you're a youtube treasure.

Wonderful! and Thank You! (I've been looking for a copy of this film for many years, it seems to be unavailable.) I love the British "black" comedies of the 1950 & early 1960's and "How To Murder a Rich Uncle" was the only favorite I could never find. (This is my first replay since viewing in the theater in 1958.) It lived up to all my expectations..Thanks Again, Roy C Thomas

@DD725ROY You are most welcome. It was a favorite that my mother and I often watched together on tv when I was a child, and then suddenly it stopped being shown. We waited years to see it again, and happily it was shown right before she passed away ~ and we made a tape of it. I am so happy that you enjoyed it. :o)

One of my all time favorite movies! I haven't seen it in decades but have been searching for it. Thank you for making this available. I hope it is released in a dvd one of these days.
