Discovering Religion: Ep 19 - If America Became a Christian Nation (2 of 3)

Part 2 explores the death sentence prescribe by the Old Testament for a myriad of trivial infraction that by modern-day standards we wouldn't even consider misdemeanors. The episode concludes with the Old Testament's view on homosexuality in addition to how modern-day Christians have taken this archaic law and used it as a tool to spread discrimination and homophobia.

Note: Episode 19 completes the miniseries on "Religion in America" (episodes 17-19). In the next set of videos I will turn my focus to exploring the issues of "Morality" and then "Faith". Each of these topics will have 4-5 episodes.

One word, "consent". Two men or two women can give one another consent to have sex. However, a dead body, an animal, or a young child cannot give consent for sex, therefore the sex is illegal. It is interesting that you, being a Muslim, should speak out against child molestation.
