It's hard to believe, but some people actually find it surprising when they find out military members get paid for their service...YES...of course we get paid! You can google military pay charts to find out exactly how much.

@acenspades He's got a video to prove what car he has... I can almost guarantee that your knowledge of cars doesn't extend beyond "Forza", and the only car you've ever had was that piece of shit rusty pickup your dad gave you before you wrecked it driving home to your mom's basement from Mcdonalds

@killerzracing71 I know they're are more benefits, and the not being taxed depends on where you are deployed (location only applies for in the states.) What I mean is, I could go to college for 4 years, join the Marines, and have an okay life with great training, and hopefully having gov't support. (They're are homeless military personel) Or I could go to college for the same amount of time, and get into a increasing field where I can make money to have a nice easy life.

You do know that there are more benifits to the military then just flat out money? Your pretty much set for the time you in, and theres so many benifits that I didnt even know about, you will always be taken care of no matter what. You do know that that 30k will go all in your pocket too? You wont have to pay for anything out of pocket if you choose not too. Food,housing, all esentials are taken care of. But Im only an E-2 and I love it so far.

I was going to get my bachelors degree, and join the marines as an officer. That is until I found out an 0-1 makes just a little above $30k a year starting out. Now i've changed over to software engineer, a field that is growing everyday. I right out of college will be making from $60k-$70k a year starting out. This pay raise can get up into the $200k a year range as I become more experienced, and earn promotions.

yea we get paid but not very much until you pick up NCO or get married. unless you get a pog job and get an enlistment bonus but i didnt get that as a grunt. my car is 2k less then what i make in a year and it was 12000 but then again my job is easy. i shoot guns and exercise so its worth it

Hey Jimmy I'm enlisting in the Marine Corps and my MOS is supposed to be in Data Systems and I was wondering if the Marine Corps helps pay for your car?
