those bats were one of the foods their ancestors ate.haven't you noticed?the flying foxes are not endangered in their place.there are still many of the species found in this place.to think that was long time ago since their ancestors hunted them until the present time.i guess they have some other source of foods.its just that NATGEO featured it in their presentation.

@vampfire82 We cover the pool but sometimes I don't think about it and leave it uncovered... Sometimes I find a live bat sometimes a dead one. But for the most part they are extremely rare. I never saw one this past summer at all... I also don't recall hearing one either.

@PianoXfan1 do you close your pool at night because that lovely bats drown in it??Or are they still alive when you take them out of your pool?? I agree with you that bats are awesome. More then that...... I'm addicted....;-) I can hear them too :-D They are so fucking cute :-D
